The Fruit warm water treatment unit is a product designed by Burg especially for the ORGANIC grower. The reducing of fungicides and minimizing storage loss is usually done by spraying on the field. There are many environmental objections associated with this spraying. An alternative is to use the warm water treatment unit (AL-BIO). In the treatment unit, the bin with product is immersed for 2-3 minutes in water with a temperature of 50-52 degrees (apple) or 48 degrees (pear). The high temperatures improves quality during the storage period and fungal spores are killed and rinsed of the fruit.
